Nice bolt-on combo Speed_Mister! Do you have a date scheduled for the dyno yet? Also, what kind of dyno is it exactly? Different branded Dyno's tend to read lower or higher than others, so keep that in mind when the day comes.

I think you'll be right around 275rwhp on a DynoJet224xLC. This is the dyno that we use here at AM/Bama. They seems to be very consistent with other DynoJets around the country. Especially with a SAE correction factor.

Keep us posted with your results!

Shane

Gonna dyno it first with bama tune then put Ortiz tune on my car dyno it and depending on how much I put down I'll put a 100 or 75 wet shot my goal is 360-350ish Rwhp on spray and 285ish off the spray. I like to play around with dyno number results and I'm just trying to get a tune sent and written but I'm having trouble data logging.

Allright after all the weather cleared today im finally getting a chance to put my car on the dyno later today! I think any where from around 267. Ik Im probably not get 270 but that would be awesome and maybe 300ish torque.. bumped up to a 100 shot also! Freaking excited to see what happens

Best you are going to get out of a NA 2V without cams is the 260-270rwhp range. On the sauce you should be near 350 to the wheels.

With that said, HP numbers are just one part of the equation, I've seen a ton of cars making a LOT more power than the one they line up next to lose at the 1/4. Case in point the myriad GT500 owners making 800+ that can't even break into the 10s because they never upgraded the suspension properly.

I think torque has more to do with 1/4 mile times, horsepower is better for like a roll race am I right? I never had problems at the track I'm running in the 10's in a 1000 foot track (12 second 1/4 mile) and 2v's have a lot of torque.

2Vs have decent torque but its nothing like a pushrod. Pulls harder up top though.

If it wasn't for the sniffer test in NJ I would probably still be in a pushrod. Although foxes up to 89 are now eligible for "historic" plates which means exempt. 93-95 Cobras also count as "collector" cars which are also exempt but you can only drive them 3,000 miles per year to qualify. Although a mechanical odometer sometimes has that gear issue and doesn't work...

I know conditions were optimum but I still thought you'd pick up more than 20hp over stock without spray

Yeah probably wasn't the absolute best weather.. If the weather was better I bet I could have seen 250's but I don't have headers, heads and cams which I think really killed me was cams seems like my power band dropped at 5k from the 245 to 225rwhp..

Yeah I'd say something is killing your top end for sure. Slap on some long tubes and see how she fairs

Guess full bolt on cars see 265-270ish
Full bolt ons with heads and cams around 300. I don't even have headers.. So I think my numbers are accurate up ~5twhp if the pressure was higher and less humidity I think I could have gotten 250rwhp. But it is what it is.
