O/R X-PIPE MIL Eliminators not needed anymore if you get a SCT TUNER???

Going to order my SCT TUNER but wanted to remove the check engine light also. Do I still need to buy BOTH????

O/R X-PIPE MIL Eliminators not needed anymore if you get a SCT TUNER???

The tuner will shut off the check engine. If you want to pass emissions, you'll need the MIL eliminators. If you just try to pass with the tune, it will autofail. But if you're using the tune solely for the purpose of turning off the check engine, it will do that.

Let me clarify; if you try to go in with a tune where the O2 sensors are shut off, then you will fail.

It tricks the o2 sensors into thinking the cats are still there and reading fine. The tune simply switches the rear o2's off. Rendering them "not ready" which causes the emissions fail. This is my understanding.

If you got a 04 and changing to offroad pipe you'll need extensions. Or longtubes you'll need them too.
