Gears

I've had two 01 gt's and the one I have now feels like it has gears in it but I can't tell. It seems like it runs out of gear alot faster than my first one. What could this be and how could I tell if it does have like 4.10's or 3.73? Take my rear end apart?

You could post a video of your speedo going through the gears.

Jack up the car, rotate your wheel one full turn and count how many times the driveshaft turns.

+1

Fyi: 99-04 has an electronic speedo, so it would have to be calibrated in the ecu to make your reading accurate (i.e. tune or speedo calibration unit)

Easiest way to do it right here.^^^
Just to add to this to see the driveshaft easier make a mark on it with a piece of chalk or something.

+1 did this for my car. Speedo was off when I bought the car. Figured out I had 3.73s. Bought a tuner and now all is good.
