Typhoon is a junk product. Chinese copypasta at its finest... Just get the Trick Flow kit and call it good. Best bang for the buck kit out there, quality, great performance.

You trying to say its not worth it installing a intake manifold or your just saying typhoon intake manifolds are cheap?

I'm saying unless your PI intake is leaking you will see no difference plus the extra cost involved in it. Even if your PI intake is leaking, a brand new replacement PI is $215 shipped to your door vs $600+ for the Typhoon and a new PI should last a good while.

As far as the Typhoon itself, that is a Pro Products chinamen copy product, run it at your own risk. Some ppl just have some minor casting flash to clean up, some ppl have it worse.

Im installing the BBK 78mm TB. Check back with me in 3-4 days. I'll tell you if it made any difference.
96GT PI swap currently running stock 65mm TB and factory plenum. Im anxious to see the improvement. Come on nice day so I can swap it.

BBK 78mm tb installed today. My engine isn't starving for air anymore. Feels like a bit more torque. My engine runs smoother. Didn't make any more power. I'm happy with it. Starving for air was really bothering me. I did the PI heads, intake and X-pipe. So yeah, I had to upgrade the stock tb and plenum. My car runs amazing I like to keep it that way

I would go with the least expensive intake set up. The BBK one peice was so easy to install. I wouldn't think 3mm makes any difference at all. Throttle response is great.

Hoping you did the PI cams too, I'm guessing they were in the heads. And no the 3mm isn't going to do anything.

Although as far as performance vs expense, the TFS setup is $279 on Summit with free shipping vs the $269 on AM for the BBK single unit. TFS has been dyno proven to make more power but its negligible on a bolt on motor.

I can only speak for the BBK 78mm. Had it on my 03 gt and throttle response was awesome, also felt like it pulled a bit better after 3k rpm. Felt a tad more torquey as well but that could've just been me. Over all i liked it and its quick and easy install (then again so is pretty much any other tb aha)

I got the complete FRPP PI heads from AM for around $450/each. I just bolted them on along with the PI intake. Stock non-PI heads don't go past 3500 rpms very well.. LOL.. My 96GT is fun to drive now. I only did it for me. I don't race. I found a sweet 03 Cobra w 70,000 miles for $12,000.. Man I would grab that for my next ride. Automatic too. Rare.. But I need an auto because of my hands. But then again.. My current set up is plenty for me

I felt more torque on the highway today. Crazy, stayed at 4,000 rpms and moved from 90-110mph. (that's torque, right? )

My Uncle found a 03 Mach 1 Auto. for $6,000 in Poconos Pa on a used car lot. It needed a ton of work so he passed. They use the 4R75W. (Defeats the "fun" purpose though) LOL..

You couldn't special order a Cobra with an auto transmission. The Machs yes, but not the Cobras. The only way you get an auto Cobra is if a previous owner swapped it in

Yep the terminator uses a specific harness that doesn't even have provisions for the auto trans harness that is universally swappable with any other new edge. An auto cobra is generally controlled using a standalone controller like a Baumann.

I take the 101 from LA all the way to Humboldt county to go visit my brother in school.. It's a long drive with cool twisty roads through the forest the higher up you go

One time I went when the Golden Gate Bridge was closed (before I had a smart phone and hadn't printed directions) and ended up driving around Oakland for a while lol

Sure it wasn't a clone attempt? I've seen some really good ones, one to the point of the only way you'd know was the VIN. Dude swapped EVERYTHING from a donor car. Most are 50-80% clone though and easy to spot a fake.
