Hesitation problem, need help

Ok I notice when I get on it in second gear that I'm getting a hesitation instead of consistent power thru the rpms and then a burning smell (not the tires) lol I don't know what is causing it, any help? Thanks

---------- Post added at 07:01 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:01 PM ----------

No it doesn't. I'm thinking it's the catalytic converters! But would that have anything to do with the hesitation?

Could. Is it missing? Have you pulled your plugs and checked them?

Is it a unburnt fuel smell? Or a sulphur smell?

It sounds like it might be your problem. Ive heard of the it smelling when its bad and it gets clogged up as well so the air flow is little. Hopefully thats it. Good luck.

An exhaust leak before the O2's will throw off the MAF. IDK if that's a possibility but it happened to me.

I didnt throw a code. I just know my car started running like crap. I installed new gaskets and it runs like new again. Night/Day difference. Bad cats smells like rotten eggs.

Just think if your air/fuel ratio is slightly off, not enough to throw a code but enough to notice a difference...

At least, fix your exhaust leak first and drive a while to see if the computer levels itself out.
