Why My New Car...

Thought I would share it with other new edge owners.... The good thing is it made the dodge caravan inoperable and only messed my bumper up (and possible frame damage).... My backs hurts too lol but wahhhhhhhhhhhh my car

Think it'll be totaled?

Dang, this is where I'd say that'll buff right out, but its alittle over played...lol

Anywho, most importantly you're okay. Next, definitely gonna need a new bumper and axle back exhaust. As long as the frame isn't damaged, you'll be fine. This is What I'd do:

1) Get the most expensive estimate

2) receive check from insurance company

3) buy black (or what ever your color is, but it looks black) V6 bumper off CL for 50 bucks

4) dump exhaust after mufflers

5) spend money on performance parts

6) drink a beer and smile

That's assuming he has full coverage.

The other person hit me, and they had amica.. They are having their own appraiser, but I can get another places estimate if there is anything extra damaged (like the frame)

Not totalled.
$1600. in damage is my official internet estimate.
I feel your pain... I've been rear-ended TWICE in less than a year

She rides a little shaky now so I'm praying no frame damage. Something just felt weird about her on the ride home

If there is frame damage, get a new esitmate because it could very VERY well be totaled at that point.

Unless you have gap insurance. Although if you paid more than market value for a v6 I dunno...

Naw, you'll be ok. The first time that I got hit it was a LOT worse looking than that.
Just use a body shop who has a good reputation for doing quality work.

Alright well that's good. I will be looking for places with good review or use the ones offered from their insurance company.

Could simply be a placebo effect. Hopefully, anyways. But it really doesn't look bad at all. I would be shocked if that's totaled. Just looks like the bumper did it's job.

+1 the bumper did an excellent job. It scraped some styrofoam off too lol. Bent down a pipe for my exhaust do you think there's anyway of getting free stingers? Lol

Yeah if they deem the exhaust needs replaced and the aftermarket exhaust is cheaper than OEM equipment they'll do the aftermarket no problem.

Ended up 1200$ in damages. Free alignment. The alignment guy told my body shop that my right bushing is bad or going out, and my rack and pinion are going bad which is why my car wanders so much. Any thoughts on those two things? Big deal to mess with right now?

She's back to being sexy here is a look at the repair. Click image for larger version

Awesome!

I replaced everything in my front end EXCEPT for the steering rack and my car drives like it's brand new. In fact, it's one of the best driving cars that I have ever driven.
It's not hard to do and goes pretty fast providing that you have all of the parts. You can buy the A-arms with the ball joints and bushings already installed to save some time and money.

Is it a emergency type thing or can it wait? I can handle it for now, it's a rougher ride then I'd like but I can deal if it can deal.

It can wait. The front end components are generally the strongest parts on the car... for obvious reasons.

Awesome.

Gotta say I missed my stang a ton. I was in a 2013 V8 Chevy truck for around 2 weeks with less tq than my car lmao... There is nothing else like a stang and I am just reminded why I fell in love with them in the first place.

Yeah my old 6 doesn't compare to the GT but hey the v6 was fun. I saw some v6's for 6-10k when I was looking for y GT lol. They would have super low miles but still.. Too damn much for a v6 lol
