Confused

So I recently bought an 01 cobra convertible 5 speed. As I'm driving it home after buying it, I got on it a few times in low Rpms like 2k to 3500. It doesn't seem to be as powerful as my 02 gt with exhaust, tune, and cai. The gt seems to put me into my seat more. Does this seem right? Does the cobra have less low end power? Or am I imagining this because I can't hear the car as much?

I think the 4v's are happiest in the 3-5k range. Ive got an 04 mach 1 and notice what you describe to an extent. A lot of the mach guys that stay na throw in 4:10 to get you in the sweet spot faster

So maybe I'm not crazy. My GT definitely seems to put me in seat a bit more at 2k Rpms than the cobra

The 2v are really torquey. Low end they pull pretty good

Ok so now knowing this, the cobra will still win in the long run right?

The cobra is pretty noticeably faster... especially at the track
