my dad installed the clutch, he says hes pretty sure it was put on right
Try adjusting the stock quadrant pull up on the pedal as hard as you can, should pop, then press it back down again.

From what I remember when I did my clutch it was pretty obvious on how the disc fit in there but none the less. Try adjusting the stock quadrant, If that don't work you might have to pull it

so you adjust it by pulling up on the clutch pedal? not by the part under the dust cover?

If it is a stock cable and stock quadrant then yes pull up on the pedal really freaking hard. Should pop, then press the pedal back down. Start it up and give it a try

Also pull the dust cover on the tranny look in the with a flashlight and Check the throw out bearing. Maybe it wasn't installed correctly or fell off.

Completely dumbfounded now. This morning my grandpa called me and told me he was having the car towed to a shop to have them look at the transmission and that he would pay for the work. I stopped by the shop to talk to them about the issue and they looked at me like I was stupid. They told me that when it got off the two truck they drove it into the shop. They said the keys were in it and to take it for a spin. It ran great just had an exhaust Leak. So I left it there so they could fix it.

I'll do some more updates on the original motor when I tear into it.

Could it be your heater core?

It didn't leak before...I know the shop that looked at my exhaust said one of the heater core hoses were not connected all the way but they connected it.

Well maybe the hose is old, or it could be residual coolant that dripped put of the "not-then-connected" hose

Clean the area up, and watch for new coolant if it leaks again

I had moved it over about a foot and there is a "smaller" spot on the inside if the pass front tire. So it may be residual

Looks like it's from your intake manifold. It very common, even on the ones with the aluminum crossover. You'll probably need to buy a new FRPP one. Do not get a dorman. Or did you have another from the other engine?

Had another but it was plastic and had a broken heater core supply/return on it

Its possible maybe the gasket got pinched or didn't seat well, but I highly doubt it. Thats the telltale area where they are prone to cracking

Since my last post the car has been running well with its new(used) motor. Finally got to tear the old one down and it had spun 6 out of 8 rod bearings....Click image for larger version

Today I was able to pick up a cobra crank, rods and Pistons for $200!

Need to find out if I can bore my motor out and use the 5.0 modular forged Pistons I have instead of these cobra ones! I can sell the cobra ones to a local guy that wants them for $50 more than I paid for all of it.

Those bearings look like the ones in my old engine! Yes it's possible to bore them for coyote pistons, but what's the dish of them? Make sure your compression doesn't drop with your heads. And you can take em to a reputable machine shop and they can set it up.

The dish on them is -17. I don't know how to figure all that stuff out. I'm not building it by myself, just trying to get info before I start dumping money.

Oh ok I think a stock 2v is like -18, so that's not bad. Good luck with the build!

Once you get the new engine sitting in the car, that's when the real work begins haha. Every time.

Me when I got my engine and trans sitting in my car "oh cool, looks like 5 hours left, maximum."
15 hours later......
"what the hell is PATS??" lol. kinda like that

Lol, when we did the initial engine swap it was cake....until the car wouldn't move. Apparently it took a few hours for the trans to realize it was back in the car. The next day she drove just fine

I don't know a lot about your build. Are you building your engine for boost later down the road?

Sure am azure. Figuring out compression ratio and what Pistons I can use. Port and polish heads, valve job, new valves and springs, new cam. Besides the little stuff that should be what I need
