its a total pain to get up there... when i did mine though i just jacked up the car as much as possible basically and then i put a block on my jack and jacked up the oil pan just a little to tilt everything back, didnt hurt anything and it gave me some more room to get to the top two. i used a 1/2 drive rachet, a swivel and a lot of extensions... spray those bolts with some pb blaster or something too

Yeah what others have said. I carefully jacked up the front of the engine after removing the drive shaft and crossmember. It can give you the extra inch or so you need. Biggest pain personally is when putting them back in and getting torqued to spec which is like 80ftlb I think. You got so many extensions and at least one swivel... It's a pain

if its the first time the transmission is being pulled out its gonna be a pain to actually get the tranny to slide out. when i did mine i carefully had to pry on the bellhousing a motor for the input shaft to release from the pilot bearing, so just be patient with it. i did mine without a tranny jack because im stubborn but seriously go rent one from whatever parts store is close to you, makes putting it back in so much easier
