Unbolt it and see. I like mine without the spoiler but mine is black. Its just four bolts holding it on.

I've always liked the spoiler-less look of the New Edge. I took mine off years ago and have never thought about re installing it. So like black99snake said, take it off and see if you like it. And I would personally have the black stripe removed; would look a lot cleaner IMO.

Thanks for the input, I may tackle this project today. Anybody know what size the holes are so I know what size plugs to get?

I'm debating about going spoiler-less also. But like they've mentioned above I'm just going to take it off and see how she looks. I also took of my black side stripe gave it a more cleaner appearance IMO. Here some photos with and without the stripe hope this helps Click image for larger version

I'm going to take the spoiler off today to see how it looks, I'll post a photo. And the car looks much better with the stripe off. I'll take mine off when it's done being 40 degrees lol.

I think the new edges look better without the spoiler. Im gonna take mine off when it gets warmer out too. Also i would deff remove the stripe, it'd look much better.

Am I the only one that like the spoiler? It looks good either way, but I feel spoiler makes it look more muscular and without looks "sportier", or euro-styled. Color also makes a HUGE difference. If you do take it off, keep it for a while before selling it, that way you know what YOU like.
As far as the rocker stripes, I'm diggin' that custom "40th Anniversary" (at least I've never seen it on a stock car), did you know where it came from, or was it like that when you bought it.
The car looks great by-the-way.

Plug it and use touch up paint to make it match. It's not noticeable unless you look dead at it

Thanks for all the input guys, I used nylon plugs to fill the holes with. Like said before they aren't noticeable unless you look right at them. The side trim is unique because I've never seen the "40th anniversary" on another mustang, it came that way when I bought it. And the spoiler less look is going to be my look for the time being until I can get a Saleen spoiler. Anybody have any info or knowledge on them?

Depending on the year of your car depends on which wing u get. 99-00 u need long pedestal. 01-04 u need short pedestal

I used some nylon plugs and color matched them to my car, then hit the underside of them with some waterproof sealant to keep water from leaking in.

I think my year is the Saleen B wing and it should fit over the factory holes. I might order one off of stage3performance for $229.

Lower it and remove the spoiler. Leave the black stripes.

If you're going to get another spoiler to replace the stock one, I recommend just repositioning the stock one by moving it back about 2-3 inches. Doing this will require new holes, however, it almost looks like the Saleen piece without the Saleen cost. A friend of mine did this to his and it looks much better plus it gives the car a more customized look.

I have still have the spoiler but IMO I would rather remove it and keep the deck old clean than have anything there at all.

On my friends car, he plugged his holes with weld, sanded, used very little filler, sanded again, then repainted the deck lid. By far the cleanest way, but much more labor intensive.

This is what I did to mine, and is also why I can't really take the wing off.
