99-04 seats in a 98 gt

I just bought some nice leather seats for my 98 gt that came out of a 99-04 gt. Does anybody know how to rewire them so my driver seats power functions work? It worked in the car that was pulled from. But the connector for the 99 -04 seat is a 4 prong and my 98 is 2 prong. And i also read somewhere that if you cut the seatbelt sensor wires the seat will be disabled.

I bet there's an adaptor you could find that converts it from 4 prongs to 2.

I'm assuming you looked for a adaptor... You could look up where the ground and hot wires are, and wire them together with wire nuts

If I remember correctly, you just need to cut the 2 prong connector off the old seat and splice it in to the power and ground of the new seat harness.

I am pretty sure two of the 4 prong connector's wires are for the seatbelt. I'm sure a simple google search can differentiate which wire is which, otherwise you can figure it out with a multimeter

I just removed the seat belt buckle from the newer seat (older models bolted to floor) and went to junk yard and got a 4 prong plug and used power and ground wires! Voila! works perfect!
