Got my hood from AM

So today I got my hood from AM along with my hood pins for it and the hood looks great. No flaws or waves in the fiber glass that I can see it is the 1995 cobra R cowl hood. I also bought a set of hood pins from quadratec that are a rubberized grommet to keep the fiberglass from cracking. Here are some pics of the hood and pins.Click image for larger version

Who is the actual manufacturer of the hood? IIRC AM sells Cervinis stuff and if its them the hood should literally be primer/paint and install with 0 prep work which will amaze more than a few body guys.

It bought the one AM makes because it is a bigger cowl and it was $100 cheaper.

Hopefully you don't eat that $100 paying your body guy to make it fit properly. If it bolts right on with no issues then good deal.

I'm very curious as to who they use as a manufacturer or drop ship their hoods from though. I would hope it is a known company vs some random assed Chinese contractor overseas. Although I have seen some pretty damn good body parts from group buys made over there.

Well duh if the box said Kaenan it is them lol. They are one of the 3 or 4 places I trust to get a hood from. Them, Cervinis, BossInc and maybe Harwood. Good deal.

AM is very trust worthy. I'd buy anything from them

They are a trustworthy vendor as far as taking returns or exchanges and trying to make it right but even they sell some junk. I recently posted on how some of their prebuilt wheel/tire combos are suspect or downright wrong, I bought what looked like a nice shifter handle that was trash and my negative review never got published (it was clean before anyone asks) and I've seen a few other things.

Also, I would NEVER order something like a hood without first verifying the manufacturer because if you get a cheap one and are doing 70mph on the highway and the latch lets go you could easily get killed or kill someone else. Luckily, Kaenan is a really good hood maker so he should be fine.

I hate when company's do that... Only post the good reviews. It's hard to decipher if company's do that regularly or not :\
