A lot goes in to designing an intake manifold so keep that in mind when you're thinking about it.
It's hard to find a GOOD custom made intake for less than a few thousand dollars. I remember a guy that made intakes for high hp drag applications that could have been in an art gallery. I think they started around $10k. I'm sure most of that is to cover R&D with maybe 1/4 of it being labor and materials.
