Short throw Shifter

Is a short throw worth the money? Will I like it? The wife really didn't like the supercharger idea so I'm looking elsewhere for a fun mod. probably goin to get either 373s or 410s (haven't decided yet) first but then maybe a short throw Thx guys.

I love mine. It's one of those mods that you're gonna use no matter what so might as well make it enjoyable.

I think it's worth it, I would recommend either a steeda or a mgw.
Don't have to worry to much about missing especially from 2nd to 3rd and you can really slam through the gears quick.
And both of those gear ratios are really good I would go 3.73s if your a daily driver cause I've heard 4.10s rape your gas milage

I had the cheap one off AM and even it was way better than the stock, and a lot more fun. Makes ya feel sorta like fast and furious lol! I will be picking up a mgw for my newest car, those definitely have the most support and best reviews.

I have a Barton short throw with shifting bracket and hands down a must with the manual. Makes shifteing quicker yes, but the bracket makes a tremendous difference when it comes to smooth shifting and not missing third which seemed to be a problem with both the 2011 and 2013 I had. I highly reccomend to anyone who has a manual.

I definitely recommend getting a short throw man. I have an mgw shifter and it is like night and day compared to the stock shifter. I could never go back

Definitely get one. I can't go back to a stock shifter after I went short throw.

As for brand go either MGW or Steeda Tri-Ax (No Barton for 99-04)

I've had Tri-Ax shifters in everything I've owned since I got into mustangs and I have yet to have an issue. I recommend doing the steeda shifter extension plate too if you go with a non-mgw. You have to do a little modding with nylon bushings since it is meant for a 3/8" hole found in hurst/3550 shifters but its no biggie.

No effect on the length of the throw and puts the knob a good 2 inches closer to to mention.

Forgive the dirty car, its not that dirty now.

Here's some pics of my MGW. I've definitely heard the tri-ax is a great shifter as well, but I've never driven one. I can say though that the MGW is so good that it will be my first mod on any future stangs I come to own

All beer does not taste the same... if you say that you've never had a good beer and by what you listed, that adds up though lol. Although Labatt and Molson are actually half decent if you just want something cheaper that isn't completely terrible. Get anything Sam Adams for a starter good beer and then move up to crafts and see if you have any local beer clubs and micro breweries if you are into that sort of thing.

Bud/Miller/Coors are piss water and its just that simple. Plus at 4% alcohol you have to drink like a whole 6 pack just to get a buzz. If my beer is ****ty at least give me 9% as a consolation prize. Although my tolerance is still super high from flying with aircrew for almost 2 years. If you are aircrew you either drink like a fish or you don't touch it, there really isn't any in betwen lol.

edit: And there is no such thing as a "local" Bud/Miller/Coors either. They are nazis about making sure every single batch that goes out tastes identical. Also none of them are American owned anymore FYI. They're all sold out to overseas corporations, the biggest true American owned brewery is Sam Adams.

Again, if you think all beer tastes the same, you have never had good beer. A IPA tastes nothing like a Pilsner regardless of brand just as an example.

I will say the same thing about coffee too honestly. If you are drinking the pre ground crap that Folgers/Maxwell etc... sell yeah THAT will all taste the same but if you get some good unground beans from a coffee shop, grind that **** up yourself and brew it in a good setup its nothing like you'll get from a random coffee pot and some scoops of Chock Full o Nuts.

Call me a beer/coffee/food snob, I guess I am but I clean eat as much as I can, try to buy good stuff to put in my body and stay the hell away from as much processed/preserved stuff as I can.

Ok... now go buy a GOOD beer. Not sure where you live but everywhere sells Sam Adams. Get yourself some Sam Adams Boston Lager. Now... get a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale which is also available everywhere. There is your good starter lager and good starter IPA. What you have there in that pic is a selection of frat/beer pong beers. W/e I feel like this lol

Sierra Nevada is bitter tasting so is Sam Adams. All the beer the "beer hipsters" drink is usually terrible. I'm not big on drinking any sort of beer but people should drink what they like instead of what's "hip" or "cool" at that time.

That is what properly brewing with good quality hops does. And Sam Adams is not bitter lol, try an ACTUAL Bitters if you want bitter. Hell if you want something that will make your taste buds explode off your tongue because of the hopiness try anything by the Stone Brewing Company. Lol only in the US are the macro crap beers any sort of successful. I've been to a lot of bars in a lot of countries and the only ones that have bud/coors/miller are the ones on military bases and I don't count those.

And if you are in Germany ordering a budweiser you should be deported back to wherever you came from on principle.

Mmmm Jimmy Buffet's beer. That is one "cheaper" beer I like. I also LOVE Leinencugels Summer Shandy in Lemon but Orange is ok too. Its out now and its awesome.
