quad shocks

looking to order some new suspension
shocks,springs and struts...
anyone change there quad shocks? and have recommendations or opinions.. anything I should know...

Nope, leave em alone. Only thing is to flip them if you get a wide rim that bumps into them when you install it. Flipping them puts the fat end on top and out of the way.

Is that just like the upper control arms, where although replacing the lower is a good idea.. uppers are good stock and unless damaged leave them alone...
I assume that the quad's are good quality and aftermarket wont benefit me unless they are some how facked?....


Checking out suspension kits on late model and some include the quads for a good price, figured I should but don't know much about them.

If you do aftermarket LCAs you can remove the quad shocks. They are only there because the stamped LCAs are so terrible.

okay now I feel like a complete rookie haah...
I have maximum motorsports lower control arms in a box ready to go on..
are you saying when there installed... remove the quads? or should I just leave them alone...

My quads are sitting in trash I think 😁 315's didn't like them lol but I have complete eibach shocks struts and springs with steeda adjustable lcas and I think j&m cheapie uppers

I'd leave them on unless you need to remove them, they usually last a long time, the original ones on my 98 are still fine but they are flipped to clear the 10.5s out back.
