Delay in steering

My 98 gt has alot of play in the steering components. Its almost like a delay. How do i get that "tight new car" feeling back in my steering? I dont feel i have full control over my car when im driving, especially if theres potholes or other obstacles.

There's a bunch of upgrades that can be done to your suspension to improve steering and handling. However, you need to first make sure all the bushings and bearings are all mechanically sound. Have you checked any of the steering or handling components on your Mustang for wear/tear? I'd first check with the ball-joints and wheel bearings. If they're faulty, any other upgrades won't be noticed until they're fixed.

Hope this helps with some insight!

Thanks. Alot of my bushings are shot and one of my ball joints looks like it got smashed or something. How hard is it to change the wheel bearings?
