I've put my 2012 into digital mode last Summer just to try it out. A lot of different information is available in there. I did it just to have the speedo in front of me instead of on the left when I first bought the car. Only thing is, you have to do it every time you turn the car on. Needless to say, I only did it a couple times. I wish they had those two gauges swapped around, especially being left handed with my hand on top center of wheel.

Used that way back YEARS ago to set the needle on my roommate's speedometer after doing whitefaces everyone had a GPS. Good for setting the tach needle too which we did. Welcome to 2001 lol.

No, they are pretty basic... my 98 doesn't have that fancy crap haha. Although I'm sure I could wire in a newer cluster and get it but I just don't care enough and PATS is a slut. If you have found the hidden yellow trunk button and know about that that's pretty much it.

I wonder if the pre 99 guys could some how get the clock that sits on the center dash to display the reading rather then where it is currently located.. swap the time for the odometer if possible.. could be a decent idea

Pre 98 actually, 98s don't have the clock pod from the factory. Mine does because the dash is out of a 95. All you'd really have to do would be to get a second cluster, de-solder the display and then install it in place of the clock and solder in extension wires onto the circuit board of the original dash.

However, that clock pod is a great spot to put aftermarket gauges. And not with the junk autometer pod. the Florida 5.0 pod looks like it came from the factory and is perfect.

Here is more information about the HEC diagnostic mode.

Make note of the "oil pressure" issue--in green about 1/2 way down the page...
