Junk Yard Stripping

Okay.. called a Junk Yard today to see if they have any mustangs I could check out. They informed me they " have lots of ****ing mustangs" hah.

I went to a different junk yard yesterday that had rows and rows of sixxers so I am some what expecting this place to be the same...

ANYWAYS my question to you guys is.. what parts are best to pic for a 2000! anything I should get while I can kinda thing? should I toss a bunch of relays and stuff in my pocket lol.

Today I am going to go find a wiper cowl as mine is cracked and possibly door hinges in my body color.. if not I will just swap pins and bushings... and I will keep my eye out for any after market parts.

Haha
You might even find some Cobra brakes here!

Somewhere, sometime, one of the sixers has done an 8.8 rear end and Cobra brake swap and then the car ended up in the wrecking yard...

some of the pictures I took today..
Questions.. can I remove that black hood scoop and put it on my hood or would it be facked if I try and take it off the current hood. any tips for doing that...
also first time other then online have I seen the red stock hood. pretty rare around here...
ahhh why did the person slice the seats up! I would have taken then leathers!!
Hmmm maybe I can get a good deal on the 2008 mustang seats and put them in my new edge...
anyone know the year and model of that convertible 5.0 mustang

Im looking for a ..

I am looking for a dual din radio frame (I have a 2002 GT Vert.).
I was going to go look in the junkyards if a few weeks but if you can find one for cheap I would buy it from you if your not asking alot.
I know they should run around 20$ in the junkyards around here. I would pay a fairprice... like 30-35 bucks?
On ebay they are asking for your first born.. LOL

I live in TN for shipping info. I prefer tan but can spray it if needed..

I got a Gauge bezel for 10$ and kick panel for 15.. ebay they are 39 and 50.. can you say... SAY WHAT!!!

I seen one for sure the other day, was going to grab it for my car but probably be a while until I buy a dual din dvd player/nav for the car...
If you can see the mustang with the black hood and scoop in the pic above.. I am going to go there maybe tomorrow and try and buy the hood if its cheap enough... I can ask how much for the piece if its cheap ill grab it for you

That bottom hood looks like a 99/01 Cobra. That would be a good pickup if you can score it cheap. Its not a GT hood and def not a V6.

I don't really want the black hood with the hood scoop but I currently have the one without. looks like a v6 hood. Figure if I can get it cheap it will look better .. anyone have an idea of what a hood should go for at a jy

Someone correct me if I am wrong... I like the newer new edge center console's and would like to strip one from a JY car and swap it with mine..
since the newer one has a different location for fogs could I just pop out the " coin holder" on the new one and my button will fit rite in?...

Also I assume I can hook up the power source inside the compartment by using the same plug in that is currently on mine..

this should be a direct fit correct?

You have to extend the foglight plug but yes the switch moves to the front location just fine. You actually will not have to paint due to being a 99/00 model but you'll still have the slight gap in the rear right of it due to the floorpans being different in 01-up models. Not a big deal unless you are OCD and it still bolts down firmly. Nobody will ever see it unless they sit in the back and who the hell sits in the back?

That is one of the best upgrades you can do to a model that does not have the 01-04 console. Usable spot to put your drink is great, I can even live with the 94-97 setup since you get a cool compartment to hide stuff without them insulting you by calling the 98-00 setup actual cupholders.
