Stripes?

I have my 03 gt and I plan on putting the 12inch leman stripes from AM on it. Here is a pic of what my car looks like now Click image for larger version

I'm not a fan of Lemans stripes on a new edge. I'd personally do something else instead.

What would you recommend? Leaving it how it is or going with some other type of decal

If it were me, and I was doing the stripes, I would stop at the hood. I don't like them running down the front bumper.

Chris

Thanks I have been debating on that also. I would be harder to put the stopes on the Cobra R bumper I have on mine also so If I do decide to go with that I probably will leave off the bumper.

I'd leave it but that's me. Your car is gorgeous as is, I'd just touch up that lip a little although those lips are notorious for catching on EVERYTHING.

Thanks man I know they do catch on the slightest things and it sucks also because I had it painted about a month ago

www.paintscratch.com Get yourself a can of that color and just nail it whenever it gets scuffed. Then clear it and buffer it real quick and most ppl will never know. I sold a car I spray bombed with stuff from them in a few spots and the buyer would have never even seen it had I not mentioned it and you stood back like 5-10 feet and really looked at where the shade of the paint shifted ever so slightly.

I like lots of different things. I like the hood decal shown above. my 1.5 cents on stripes though is they look cheap if not all down bumpers

You can pull the paint code off the door or just look it up on paintscratch if the color is a stock color.

When I had my bumper painted I asked if it was a stock color because when we bought it it had been painted about 6 moths before and they said it is not that they would have to match it as best they could

Ah, yeah get the color then and you can always see if you an buy a pint of it from them. Then just get yourself a $15 gun from Harbor Freight and borrow a compressor if you don't have one for times you need to touch it up. I would not use a HF gun for a full paint job but for touch up its ok.

I vote no on stripes... The ones you recommended especially. They won't look good IMO.

I'm gonna go ahead and put them on and since it is vinyl I can easily take it off worth giving it a try and I don't really care about eating the $100 either so not a big deal

I don't think it's "that easy" but if that's what you want then go ahead, it's not our stang. We are just trying to save you from yourself ;D

Thanks for your input anyways I've taken vinyl off before and it really isn't hard so if I don't like it I'll take it off

Agree. Vinyl is easy to apply and remove. I have wrapped an entire car in vinyl before. Love that stuff
