Would a ram or cold air seriously be a waste of money?

I never really paid much attention to the Mach intake... That's the damndest looking setup!
What does the intake towards the front of the engine do Slow?

The tubing on the right is air coming from the shaker as I drive , air flows towards the air filter.

looks like a better set up. air from the shaker seems to be going straight to the filter rather then your old set up where it was just getting dumped above...

Intakes for the Machs is hard to beat the factory setup!.. Probably won't see much if any in gains, but it should help clean up your engine bay real nice!..

I thought about doing a ram air on my Mach, there aren't too many kids on the market that keep the functionality of the shaker, there are a couple but not many. The ones that do don't offer much more gains than just a drop in k&n filter would give. So I'm probably just going to keep the stock set up and get a drop in filter
