Quick install ?

Hey guys I'm sure it's on here somewhere but I'm changing out coil packs for someone on an 03 GT and and was just looking for a refresher as to how difficult it is.. If i remember correctly it's pretty easy? Like an hour tops?

Yes should be easy, they are just 8mm bolts , might have to remove anything if it's on top. Like intake .. I don't have a GT anymore but shouldn't be bad.

May have to remove fuel rail ..

Ya I had an 03 & an 04 and I thought you had to at least loosen the fuel rail. Just wanted to make sure i wasn't going to regret only charging her $50 lol

50 bucks to change some chicks cops... nice loool
should take like a minute each.. passenger side just remove the air intake and its simple. especially if they came with the boots and spring all together.

why change them? apparently ford did a good job with the cops. unless there gone bad would be better to leave them no?

I thought they were 7mm bolts? Either way it shouldn't take more than like 10 minutes depending on how fast you go. You don't *need* to loosen the fuel rail but depending on the person it might be easier that way.

unclip. unscrew. pulls out. swap boot and spring if you have to then put it back on the plug. screw it back on and clip it back in..
keep in mind the boots are pretty flexible .. so pretty easy to get back in

you don't need to remove fuel rail!

She had a tune up done on the car and they told her she had a bad one and that it wouldn't be a bad idea to change them all. It also has a SCT livewire on it. That she knows nothing about and was on the car when she got it

whats considered a tune up?
plugs, cops, air filter, pcv valve, injectors cleaned, and oil and filter changed?

I see that posted on most shops up around town... Come in for a Tune Up!

Just the basics more than likely.. I just finished driving it. Definitely feels like it's got a hell of a miss. Noticed soon as I started it up

Apparently? Lol. I returned it to stock and the. Re-downloaded the tune. Not running worth a crap if at all.. So apparently the tune was not correct and needs to be altered. I change the injectors from stock to 30lb and it stays running now but just a lil bit rough.. Any idea?

Nope. Won't stay running. There's no telling what's goin on. She told me after I messed w the tuner that the guy she got it from said not to change it. It's running now it just has a small lope to it sorta.

Just did plugs and coils on mine. Bought the Summit coils because they were red like my car, lol. Definitely notice a little difference in the car.
