Automatic Downshift

I was wondering is it bad to downshift an Automatic??

You're only doing manually what is done automatically, so no.

Presuming you dont throw it into L1 on the highway that is lol

EDIT: I do it with regularity in the fandamily car, especially to assist w/ braking on a sudden light change or some dip***** in front of me

But if i have it in Drive then im slowing down at a light and im going 20 Then throw it on second??

might not see any result going into 2nd at a low speed like that, but decelerating coming up to a light at say 40mph you'd downshift it, sure

lol why would you want to?
you can buy a b&m shifter from AM that allows you to shift threw the gears and has reverse lock out.
If your just wanting to downshift into 2 or 1 to help slowing down.. I suggest pushing on the break pedal instead

no but lots of youtube videos and reviews on it.. cant go wrong if u have a few bucks to spend.
