Ticking sound

Alright so a couple days ago this ticking sound started but it only occurs if the engine is warm and only if i let the engine idle. The ticking sounds like it comes from the engine.

When your engine is cold, check your sparkplugs. The 4.6s are known for spark plug blow out from them backing out. The ticking is the warning before the launch. Don't over tighten them, check each one and tighten/torque as needed.

Could also be a timing chain

If It was s bad plug, I think the car would misfire.

I replaced my clutch about 6 months ago, and I still get a ticking and chattery noise from the throw out bearing.

Mine wasn't misfiring when I had a plug pop out. The way I found it is when the car was running I put my finger on each coil and felt a tapping on one lol. Took it off and sure enough it was loose.

As for the clutch chattering I think its common in these cars from what iv read.

ticking could be a number of things, not just the spark plugs. I would definitly monitor them to make sure its not a loose plug, and torque them correctly. but it could easily be from a timing chain guide or a stuck valve.
