Gt on the track

Hey guys, today I went to the track and race couple times.
1st race 01 gt hard top 5 speed ( mine is 03 gt 2.1 Kb supercharged automatic convertible) he has long tube harder, x pipe, intake, bbk tb, sct tuner, and little more I forgot lol
From the start he took off by a car length and I burn out lot cuz I still have stock tires( 245/45/17) and 2nd gear I burn little bit more and 3rd gear I start pulling away and I won by two cars length I think
2nd. Race with 02 gt hard top 5 speed he has x-pipe, sct tuner, intake, tb, short shifter, same thing again from the start he was a car length head of me then I pulled away and I won after 2nd race my breaks were done I mean done my brake pedal will go all the way down and stop the car super slow probably they were too hot any ways
3rd race with 06 350z he has intake, exhausted and 6 speed from the start he was a car length and he won by a car length I was sad I know they are light has f""k lol but still I couldn't believe it mine supercharge gt lost by 350z

That 350 must of had a ton of work done to it then. I have a 2000 gt coupe with just some bolt ons and a tuner (run 13.7's). I race my bro around all the time, he's got a 350 with intake and exhaust and I beat on him.
Your car with a supercharger should have killed the 350. They run about a 14.1 stock

Power means absolutely nothing if you can't get it to the ground.

-a good suspension for the strip would be

Upper and lower control arms
Drag springs
90/10 front struts
70/30 rear shocks
Full length subframes
Some sticky drag radials

If you lost to a 350Z in a supercharged automatic V8, then there is either something seriously wrong with your car, you or the guy in the Z was completely BSing you as to what he had done.

Since this was at the track, what ET and trap speed is your car running?

+1000

I have to shake my head at people who just slap FI on a stock car and expect it to be king of the road.

Compression test and a leak down test. Stuff to do it can be rented from autozone. Only extra thing you will need is a air compressor for the leak down

If its fked its just a excuse to go built. Makes you feel a lot better knowing you have a built motor anyways.

So the Z would be running a mid-low 12 with a CAI and exhaust?... Lol get real. Even stock gt's take down Z's... Yours should have raped him and then dick slapped him in the face. He prolly had a lot of cash under his hood.

That's idiotic unless you are racing for money and even then you look over each other's cars. And then if someone is trying to be stealth its usually a ported stock setup with a hidden nitrous system. Lots of Mustang guys make a compartment behind the rear seats for the bottle/warmer and stuff which you can't see in the trunk. Someone familiar with our cars would probably spot it because of the smaller trunk space but most others would have no clue.

True which is stupid. The LS guys are the worst. But personally I will even pull out my jets if the person wants.

I will find your kit on your mustang I promise. Plus you can't lie about spraying either. Its hard to bull**** someone who is verry familiar with it

Lol yeah finding a hidden kit on a Mustang is usually pretty easy. "Uh, your trunk is bigger than that dude, pull your seatbacks down". Some ppl get real creative with bottles under rear seat delete kits run in the interior panels and everything though.

I won't necessarily look for a bottle. ( sneaky peak under the dash)
I willfind it under the hood though. . Dry kits can make it harder, than a wet kit but it will be found.
All in all you can tell how a car performs on the bottle/ off

Get gauges if you haven't. To monitor a/f and what not.

Most ppl run Autometer. Speedhut is another good brand. For your AF you always want a wideband. The ones that run off the stock O2s and just say "rich stoich lean" are pretty much a waste of money.
