New hood for the GT

Just finished putting the Cobra R hood on yesterday alone. It wasn't bad. Kinda simple with some minor adjustments. Now for the front bumper cover today. I was supposed to have some help, but it seems my pal is unreliable. An extra set of hands for the bumper would help.

Where did you get that honeycomb stuff behind the pony, is it part of the grill delete set? I've been looking for something like that, but never found it. I always liked the grill delete, but never liked being able to see the radiator.

+1 To both things.

I want a Cobra spoiler but hate thinking about spending $500-600 on it and then having holes in my trunk.

[QUOTE=19robby2;1999940]Looking good, how much did you pick up the hood for? It looks clean

Paid 500 bones plus paint for the hood.
The honey comb looking stuff I cut out of a steel mesh from eBay. Going to put the left over down below on my Cobra bumper cover.
The spoiler is real carbon fiber it cost about 450 plus shipping from carbon driven. Didn't need to paint it. It is a beauty. The third break light was 200 from Am Muscle.
I bought a base Mustang trunk without the wing or it's holes and no cheap looking honeycomb panels from a salvage yard for 155 bucks.
Got my bumper cover on today.

The chin spoiler was a beast to put on. Had to rivet the damn thing on. I wasn't gonna spend 375 bucks for the OEM one so I bought one on eBay for 69 and fought with it and it doesn't look bad.

Is that chin spoiler meant for the cobra bumper?

Or is it the mach 1 chin spoiler just fitted on the cobra bumper?

After searching and finding no Cobra chin spoiler for less that $375, I found this one on eBay which said it fit an 03-04 cobra and it cost $69. It even had an illustration of a Cobra bumper with this attached. When I received it I found it to not be so. I decided to attempt to install it, with a little persuasion and with a little extra time and patience it didn't come out half bad. I think it is a Mach 1 though.

Not trying to steal your thunder man, but got a steal for mine. $250 used, and it was already painted black from the po. I constantly get compliments on it. Looks good in silver!

Cool. No worries about the thunder thing. It's always good when there's a deal to be made. I only wish I could find some more.

They have a few parts for 99-04 Mustangs that are pretty cool additions.

Got the rear valances on after cutting the original tail pipes. Had to cut the turn downs too. They stuck out a little too far.

I picked them up at CJ Pony for about $99 each. They match perfectly to the 35th anniversary side skirts. In my opinion they should have been OEM. They aren't difficult to install either. It cleans up the back end without adding a rear bumper kit.

Just personal opinion you should really think about going with stock taillights and maybe even head lights.. looks a lot cleaner..

I can see all of your points. I like the blacked out idea for the tails. It would match the side markers and the third light. The only thing is it's not a priority at this point. The Bullitts and the bigger brakes are. Maybe after that. This is what the lower grille looks like with the mesh material installed.

I ordered the OEM tails with the tint film and the sequential signal lights and they should be in this week. I think they will be a badass addition and match the black out tint on the side markers and third brake light. I'm hoping to see the Bullitts on Monday and can't wait to see them on. No F***ING way am I removing the headlights. I love them.
