Diagnosing P0174

I am currently trying to get my car ready to pass obd2 emissions, and Have been struggling to get all my monitors to set. I also had 6 codes popping up.
Tonight i installed a set of MIL eliminators and i drove the car up and down the highway.

I got rid of 5 codes, including the p1000 code for systems not ready. What remains is a p0174 code that is currently pending, and has not triggered a CEL.

It's only the bank 2 sensor, and With the original codes, this was not one of them. So can anybody tell me how to narrow down this code? I've read it could be a dirty MAF, clogged injector, Vaccum leak, bad fuel filter, or bad o2 sensor.

Also, for any of you emissions Gurus, theoretically, if the p1000 code is no longer pending, all my monitors should be set, correct?

How old are your O2 sensors? If really old might try replacing them.

Also could be from a vacuum leak or exhaust leak so check that too

I personally have never replaced the o2 sensors. The car has 69,000 miles on it. Do they go bad within that many miles?

Interesting. I might have to look at that. Does anyone by chance know if, If there is no pending p1000 code, that all my monitors have been set?

In theory yes...

P0174 means the AFR is lean (or the O2 sensor is reporting it is lean) on bank 2, the driver side. As just one side is indicating lean then things that would affect both banks--like the MAF, air leaks after the MAF, fuel pressure problems, etc.--can be put off until things that would affect only bank 2 are checked.

Those are a bad O2 sensor and/or exhaust leak. Check the AFR with a wideband O2 system and see if it is really lean...
