Was going to say it would be to a Mach system. All the harnesses are the same so if you have no mach system you'll just have plugs and no amps.

Its an 02 GT with the Mach 1000 stereo. The stereo is fully intact as far as I can tell, with original speakers, amps and head unit. The two bulbous speakers in the rear deck have an amp next to each of them, and act like subs from what I can tell. Those two plugs just dangle there with no obvious place for them to plug into.

Those bolts have really got me baffled. they are studs that stick straight up with loose nuts/washers on top. I could tighten down the nuts (or remove them), but the studs would still be sticking out. I have no idea what they are for. My first guess was that the previous owner used them to hold a sub box or something, but the bolts are attached to plates that clearly say Ford China on them.

To be clear, my Mach 1000 has two small tweeters(?) at the front upper corner of each door (where it meets the dash). A speaker in each door, down by your feet. And two 6x9ish bubble domed speakers in the rear deck with amps powering them.... and a factory 6 disc changer head unit in the dash. all of these things say Mach 1000 on them. The rear deck speakers act like subs to me and take a few seconds to kick on after i turn the stereo on.

Are there also supposed to be actual subs mounted on the trunk floor where those bolts are?

Thanks for the offer. I think I will pass this time. to be quite honest, I need all the trunk room I can get. I work outside and need to bring tools and extra clothes/boots/etc with me wherever I go. My trunk is already jam packed withouth the subs/amp rack.

Thanks for helping me figure this out though.

well. I wasn't really planning on removing them... they are kinda welded on. I will take a better look at them, and if I can can safely remove them, then u gotta deal.

Any tips for removal?
