97 GT Coolant

Coolant in the oil is a head gasket failure, correct? Losing coolant constantly. Not visible on ground though and white smoke coming from tail pipe. oil cap is milky looking.

Also have two codes showing. P0175 and P0430. Bone stock GT with only intake done.

Blown head gasket. You're correct.

How many miles before it finally died?

Personally I would let a professional rebuild it.. It's too bad it died at such low mileage. Race car :\

Who knows what other problems lie underneath. Labor is pretty intensive I've heard

No idea if it was raced or not lol. Bought the car from a guy who didn't want to fix a coolant leak and has been fine until now.

Could be valve stem seals but most likely is a HG. If its still running and you are good with tools and have the slightly more advanced stuff like torque wrenches/claw pullers etc... you can DIY. The OHC engine is not some sort of rubix cube vs a pushrod like everyone seems to think. You have about a mile of chains in the front and the cams are in the heads but its not super hard.

With that said, I'd rather do 3 pushrod headgaskets than a single 4.6L lol.
