Rattle

When driving and I get to about 2k rpms I get this rattle sound that goes away at 2.5k rpms. It sounds like metal clanking or something at that rpm

Welp yank the stereo out and the bezel and poke around in there and see what you can find.

It's just weird that it happens at those certain rpms. Not any other just those

All has to do with harmonics. At a certain RPM something is vibrating at just the right frequency to make whatever is loose rattle around.

The 2k rpm is when my car is at it's loudest. Could that be it

check your rear view mirror I've seen folks have that vibrate and it's easy to check.

It's random. Some days it does it, like yesterday. Unlike today where I had no issue with it. Is it something serious?

Nothing with the rearview mirror is serious unless it involves flashing red lights

I have the same exact sound around that RPM. Sounds like mine is coming from the vents?

Seems to be a common thing with these cars and exhaust. Mine started right when I put on my Flowmaster 44s. Then around 6 months later I went over a huge bump (unintentionally) that jerked the entire car, then later that day I realized I no longer had the rattle lol

I have the same rattle... guess in order to fix it I need to Dukes of Hazzard something. Thanks for the tip

Well there are some easy things you can do first. Pull the radio bezel off (remember the screw on the post behind the radio) and check back there, grab your defroster vent trim and just yank on it and it'll come out. Remove the cluster bezel and shifter bezel etc... and re-install it all. You'd be amazed at what just removing/re-installing can do to re-seat something that has got in a "just so" position to make noise.
