Strut Tower Brace

Ok need some help here!.. I recently had the TrickFlow Track Heat intake manifold installed!.. Love to power!!... (Also had BBK Ceramic Tuned Headers put on too). Problem is now.... My Strut Tower Bar that I had before will not fit, the cross bar lands right on top of the Throttle Cables (TB had to be Flipped around). The Strut Tower bar that I was using was the one from Steeda for the 2004 GT!.. Click image for larger version

These are some pics after my install!.. I am looking for another Strut Tower Bar that will fit around the intake/TB!..

Hoping the guys from AM or Steeda might have some info on this!..

Hmm maybe one designed for the Bullitts? I know Trick flow designed their intake off the Bullitt intake

Do the Boss 302 bars or GT500 rise a bit higher perhaps? maybe on or either of those will work?

Looks great man! The 99-01 Cobra STB is usually the solution for most aftermarket intake manifold fitments. Since they're so open, you typically have a lot of clearance.

I didn't see any photos of your previous setup, but would you have cleared the throttle body with a quarter inch more room or was it not even close to fitting? I've seen some guys take a large washer to put under the STB to add a little clearance if needed. I wonder if that would have done the trick for you too.

I'll take your word for it haha. I was curious, depending on how close it was. As I mentioned earlier, I know quite a few other model Mustangs use this trick for extra STB clearance. Especially the Shelby's with huge CAI's!

Anyways, your new STB looks great. Very clean fit and truly functional. Nice work!

96-98 Cobra brace works with the Bullitt intake also.

ID:	157401The first bar I had was from Steeda!.. The cross over bar was landing right on top of the throttle cable after the Intake install!.. Even a buddy of mine that does a lot of Fab Work on cars, said it needs a good inch to clear the cables!.. So my hunt began!.. Lol
