Retiring for now...

About a week ago a lady in a SUV ran a stop sign and t-boned my car. I didn't get nearly as much money as I sank I to my car when it was totaled out by insurance but I got a decent value for it ($6k)

I thought about upgrading to a newer GT but I didn't want a car note again. Maybe in a year or so but I bought a Dodge Ram 1500 single cab for $3500 bucks and I'm saving the rest of the money for whatever my next stang is. My goal is to have another mustang by the end of this year.

Nothing major just some muscle tearing on my left shoulder and a disk in my back. I'm going back to the doctor on Tuesday to find out the details. I'm okay tho she hit me on a two lane road on a busy street luckily there was no other cars on the oncoming lane because it could have been way worse.

Just a disc and muscle tear? LOL! A disc is a serious problem.. Get a fat check from them! Lucky it wasn't on the other side. Sucks that it didn't get more value but that's the way it goes.. Hopefully we will see you soon.

Muscle tear and a disc? Yeah don't let them try to screw you out of medical, get a lawyer if need be and go after her insurance for everything you can. I'm not saying to exaggerate an injury or anything but a disc issue can be a permanent lifelong problem.

And tbh I would buy the car back from them.. You could have still driven it for a long time probably.

Also, good luck with that 4.7l dodge.. My dad had one that blew at 103k. They had serious issues with oil pressure, and were very common for blowing early. 5.7l weren't as bad but still had issues. Diesels were fine. We tried to warn a family friend not to get a 4.7... But he insisted. One month later the engine blew... We told him so...

The Diesels are great... IF you get a manual trans. The autos are notorious for blowing up if you sneeze on them in any application. Good luck with the truck though, at $3500 even if it only lasts a year or two you get your money's worth out of it.

An old co-worker of mine was driving a 96 Ram and it started to smoke. Like not just engine smoke... It was literally on fire. He was able to stop it and get out before the whole thing went up.

I mean the truck is extremely clean and well maintained so hopefully it works out I was thinking of reselling it for $6k I'm about 90% certain I can flip it for a profit.

I did see a lawyer and I'm going to a doctor. I'm not going to exaggerate any injury but I do want my shoulder fixed and if there are any slipped disks then I'm going to push until all my medical is taken care of.

My real goal is to get another mustang tho. Life is rather boring with out my money pit gt

Its good you have a lawyer, I was rear ended in high school. Insurance companies will really try to take advantage of you without one. I know its gotta suck not having your mustang. Hopefully you can get back into one soon. All I do is upgrade mine in my spare time. I wouldn't know what to do without having a toy to work on.

I would def buy that mustang back, rip all your parts off if it, part out the rest. Buy another and put your parts back on it.

That's my plan for my 98 if it ever is wrecked and why I only carry basic liability at $20/mo. Buy back, pull all parts off it and then either use it as a donor for a modfox or just get a new edge and put all the parts on. Or just sell all the parts and make my money back and buy a Coyote.

I feel for you Kennedy. Whenever I see a car wrecked like this, or blow up on a dyno, I get the feeling in my stomach that I get when I see someone get hit in the nuts. I hope that this turns out well for ya
