97 gt engine swap

Hello everyone, I am attempting to swap a 2001 engine with mods into a 97 gt. the question i have is wether or not I can make the coil on plug system from the 2001 work with the 97 gt pcm. If not, what would be the best way to go about getting everthing to work with while using a 2001 pcm? The mods done are as follows, 5.0 liter stroker kit, stage 2 comp cams, pypes catted x pipes and catback exhaust, cold air intake. Also trying to decide the best place to get a tuner for the mods.

You can use a "red monster" harness. It is plug and play. Available on multiple mustang forums, the corral has listings for them and SVTP I think. Just google "red monster corral" and see what you get. Your other option is to re-use the coil packs from the 97 and don't even worry about it. OEM plug wires are way cheaper than new COPS and the 97 computer will run the PI motor just fine with no tuning required.

Thanks for the info, it sounds like we need to run wires for now and down the road look at other options. Thanks again.
