I like flow masters don't get me wrong. Drone doesn't bother me at all. Around where I live, all mustangs and trucks have flow master. So I kinda want to stand out and get some different mufflers. Currently have x pipe with flows but I'll eventually try something else.

Edited also never had someone complain how loud my car was inside when I had flows. Now when I went straight pipes, holy hell people complain how loud. And it was annoying loud. Never going that route again.

Yea it must be a personal thing for drone. I've never felt the drone to be that bad, and neither have any passengers of mine. I even drove my grandparents 2 hours in it, and they said it wasn't that bad. Some people just can't take it though, it has to be super soft and mellow on the inside, which i guess is fine. But i didn't buy the car for it to be comfortable and sound tame inside the car.

Yeah my ears are kinda sensitive to sound. After having multiple loud woofer setups over 140db and the kind of work I do. I can't take much of certain sounds anymore.

Thats understandable then. I know people who just for some reason cannot stand a loud car, and my cruising rpm is past the point where it drones anyway, thanks to 4.10s lol.

I've only ever had Flowmaster mufflers on my car, exempt for stock. So I've had the stock midpipe with the 44s, the prochamber with the 44s and the offroad h with the 44s

I do agree you get a Nice clean tone with an off road h and 44s. It does sound great.

It does get raspy on the top end. Driving around town it's smooth. When you hit it that's when it gets raspy, but a good raspy. Not annoying rasp

Can I ask you something? Is the Mac Pro chamber for the mid pipe one of the best sounding exhaust set up?

Depends on what you think sounds good. I loved my prochamber. Sold it because of my torque arm. I do kind of like the h pipe better with these specific mufflers though. And I already was scraping the prochamber at stock height. No way would it last with how low I went.

I cannot for the love of me decide on the pro chamber or BBK x pipe. I have till Thursday to decide. And I love both. Pro chamber so far is my favorite sounding mid pipe with slp. But I don't want problems with it.

You won't have any problems. I only scraped it on super tall bumps, and technically my car was lowered 3/4" stock. 1" without isolators. I swapped to an H pipe because you can tell in that 2nd pic how close the clearance is to the exhaust.

What are you running on your mid pipe now? And was your pro chamber one of the best mid pipes you've ever heard on a 2 valve?

I hate X pipes, they sound way too raspy for me. They sound good on 4 valve motors, but not 2 valve motors.

My personal opinion (and I mean that it's what I like) is that I've had flow master 40's then went to SLP LM1s then went toBorla Stingers and absolutely love them!

I have a BBK x pipe only because I found it slightly used for really cheap. It's OK but I wish I would have went with an off road h now and may in the future on my 2v. Soccerluvr is right about the x vs h on a 2v. I have maganflow magnapack mufflers on mine and it sounds good. It's loud but not too loud and does have a Nice deep tone. Rule of thumb is to use straight thru mufflers with an x and chambered with an h, of course personal preference you can deviate from this.

What do you mean? Get whichever one sounds better to you personally. All the aftermarket pipes are going to be within 1 or 2hp of each other. The Pro Chamber sounds amazing but if you are thinking you'll get extra power out of it over a regular OR X or H you won't.

I am not looking for power I am looking for sound. I'm determining what mid pipe sounds the BEST on a 2 valve. It's between these two mid pipes.

Get the pro chamber. I speak from experience I would choose an X pipe last vs an H or a Prochamber.

Word, x pipe with straight-throughs is pure unfiltered bliss.

The hollow sound of an H with flows is a close second though.

I had them on my last car and they sounded good but rusted away. I guess you get what you pay for though.
