Do you want to get more power out of the engine? Or do you just want to be able to rev the engine higher?

Yes!
There are a number of modifications that you can do to increase the power of your engine. Inside of the very first thread in this forum, (Tech Tips) there is another thread titled "Beginner's Guide to Bolt On's" by cliffyk. It is very informative for someone just beginning to modify their car. Cliffy spells out what works and what is a waste of time and money.
None of the "bolt on" modifications affect the reliability of the car so no worries there.

It is the very first thread in the 96-04 GT forum titled:
IMPORTANT: Useful Tech Tips.
In the first post, there is a link to another thread titled:
Beginners Guide To Bolt-on Power Gains. By cliffyk.

I gave you bad advice.
The thread that I'm talking about, the first thread in the 96-04 GT forum, is completely useless now and should just be removed.
The forum that I'm going to refer you to next, Mustang DIY and Technical, isn't a whole hell of a lot better, but the thread by cliffyk is there, although, it seems to be locked and there is no way to ask questions or to even bump the thread. (No wonder Cliffy hasnt been on for a while now.) Its on the second page so you'll have to scroll down to near the bottom of the threads, if you even can on the app...
