Tire Size

I recently purchased my first 4.6L GT. Its completely stock and i bought a set of rims for it. Front are 17x9 and Rear are 17x10.5 im looking for an agressive look as most do with mustangs in general. any opinions and/or pictures of your setup. i cant seem to decide on a set size yet.

If you want an aggressive look out back, throw a 315 on the rear since that back wheels is already a 10.5

Thats kinda where i was leading to, in doing so will there be any clearance/rubbing issues. Keeping in mind the car is stock i do plan on lowering it soon. I think im going to shoot for 315/35/17 in the rear and 265 in the front.

If your stock height at the moment you won't rub. You might have to flip the quad shock but doubt that you will. Depending on what tire you go with as well could change things. I know Nittos run a little on the thinner side compared to others tires. All depends on what you want to go with.

I'm going with a set of Sumimoto HTR Z's. Unless my local tire dealer has anything else.. sucks living in a small town.

Go with firestone Firehawks indy 500 wide oval tires or Mickey Thompson street comps. Both reasonably priced compared to most summer tires. Tire Rack and many other sites to order from

255/40R17s up front and 315/35R17s in rear, have minor rubbing issues due to being so low. On a stock height or normal drop car they won't rub at all. If you want any sort of decent performance tire then don't buy the Summitomos.
