HOT

is it just my car or does it get very hot under the hood.
How much pressure does your rad cap need to hold? Could that be the issue, I am not loosing coolant but it holds barely any pressure when I test the cap. I have also been told different oils will cool the engine. I had nothing to say to that.

Yes.
Which car TC?
And, again, was that Cobra in your first post your car?
I won't say that my Bullitt runs cool but it never seems like it wants to overheat...

And the cap on my car is 16 lbs.
Make sure that the fan is coming on and the first thing to try, other than if you think the radiator cap needs replacing, is the thermostat.

The engine runs hott, especially in Texas. As long as your temp gauge is ok and it's not over heating then you're fine. We waited hours and my gf's v6 wasn't even cool yet. Then again it's like 80 at night here lol

Yes I edit my posts a lot, auto correct likes to sabotage me!

I don't think its over heating but I can drive about a half a mile from cold start to the Car wash and pop the hood to wipe down the engine bay and its a sauna under there. Engine is extremely hot to the touch. My other car doesn't seem to be that hot, takes longer to get up to temp as well.
So if a car is heating up about twice the speed as another would it be the thermostat? yes the fan comes on

I removed my Hood pad tonight. Was going to remove the Wheel well Liners, splash guards whatever. Just not sure if that would be a good idea? I think I rub on them a bit anyways

The paint on your hood is going to bake a lot faster

Yeah, my car wouldn't even be lukewarm after a half mile.
Check the thermostat. They are, normally, designed to fail in the wide open position but who knows? It might even be in there upside down or something...
