Newer interior in older body

Being a mustang owner for awhile the 99-04 interior does not even come close to looking as good as the new mustang interior. I know I've seen one video of a guy had the 2005 cluster in the 99-04 body style but has anybody ever thought about or actually put the newer dash or center console into the older body styles? I know it would be time consuming and difficult but I'm curious as to if anybody Has accomplished this and how

Anything is possible with enough money. Short answer, no.

Yes it is possible just google it or you tube it.
Keep your mustang interior the way it was made with the acception of stereo and small tweaks. If your car is clean and has the rite exterior mods and performance to back it all up you will have a bad *** mustang. If your really not happy with it then start saving up and buy a newer style mustang.

Just put a touchscreen in it and be happy. Nothing else you can REALLY do with it. It sucks, and is super outdated/plain... But at least it looks good from the outside lol. Save the cash from putting a new interior in and buy a newer stang. Good luck!

I already have touch screen in there and I don't want a newer mustang. The body style I have is my favorite but the interior in new mustangs is slick

West Coast Customs and Microsoft teamed up to do a project like this, though on a much broader scale. They took a customized 1967 frame and put it on the chassis of a 2012. Then they completely customized everything in the interior and exterior. Dream car for the big gadget nerds for sure. I'm not too keen on the matte black color though - I prefer the glossy shine of the factory black.

I saw enough of West Coast Customs' work on PMR back in the early 2000s when the FATF craze was still ridiculous. So many hack job builds... I don't know if they were because they were rushed from the show or just suck or both but I can't take anything they do seriously.

Also, I'm sure this guy is not going to have a similar budget...

Why would you put Aston Martin badges in a Mustang? That's just dumb.

Within the past few years their show did get a lot better. It wasn't like their old show where it was 90% drama and 10% work. The last few years of their show has actually been pretty damn good, lots of awesome stuff they made.

The one posted above was they took a 1967 (or 68, i forget) shell from dynacorn and put that on the chassis of a 12 5.0. So the look of a 1967 fastback, but all the sophistication of the new 5.0. And of course since it was for Microsoft they did a lot of cool little gadgets in it. I actually remember watching that episode when it came out just a few years ago.

The money he spent on that, he probably could have afforded a real Aston Martin.

Personally, I think the older interior is part of the charm with these cars.
The only really bad weak point is the leather seats tend to fall apart and are expensive to fix. It's great though that others who want to customize have tons of parts to work with ! Make it your own and enjoy it !
