Well blew a rod in my 97 gt.. 351 time now!

Well i blew a rod the other day and thought, well this is the time to juice it up some. Found a 351 with a c4 tranny. The 351 was completely rebuilt and doesn't have a single mile on it. $1200 for the tranny and engine. What do you all think? Any suggestions? All comments will help.

Suggest getting a donor 94/95 car because the pushrod is not as drop in as ppl think to a 96-up car. You'll need the entire harness and a bunch of other stuff. Not to mention you'll need an aftermarket controller for the C4 trans or just go full manual valve body.

I personally wouldn't do it but that's me. But $1200 is not a bad deal for the 351 and trans depending on what all is done to it.
