2002 gt auto tranny question

Ok so tonight I was running a 2006 335I and won btw and on my way back to the lot I saw smoke rolling out the back and pulled over had a trail of tranny fluid leading to the car and looked under and a puddle of tranny fluid started forming. The car wasn't running funny or anything like that just need some advice because I did a burn out before the race and am worried that my torque converter may have blown up going to check stuff on friday just want things to look for thanks! And yes on a sanctioned track dont blow me up about street racing not what I was doing.

You beat the beamer... Thats the important part.

I don't know what to tell you other than to try and find the source of the leak. Maybe (if your lucky) it's a leaking or broken transmission cooler line or something simple like that.
I'd start preparing for the worst though...

You probably already know this, but when you install that new seal, wet it with tranny fluid all around the rubber seal. I have seen seals immediately go bad because a dry seal was installed. Just hopeful reminders.

I know of no company that stamps their bellhousings with skulls and crossbones. But people do put stickers on their parts to represent hazardous to your health and intimidation factors, or just stupidity. I am assuming you bought this car used.

Sorry for reviving a dead thread but i got the tranny seal fixed then 3 weeks later it blew again took it to a tranny shop and my torque converter was completely messed up and paid 1000 to get it fixed with a discount. Needless to say this car is amazing now drives so much better!!!!

Updates are always appreciated!

Sorry that it cost so much but l'm glad that it wasn't more serious and you have it all working correctly.

I still want to see the skull and crossbones...
