Vibration feeling

Ok so I just started feeling a vibration feeling when I'm driving. It only happens when I'm stop and start driving. And it only happens the first few seconds I take off. It happens when I start slow then a second or two later the car drives smooth. Any ideas

But it only happens when I start to drive for a second or two. I had that issue on another mustang. That vibration was constant. This one only last when I start to drive then stops

Motor mounts, trans mount or the clutch is on the way out. My clutch is almost toast and it feels like a giant is shaking the car on takeoff sometimes. New clutch in the garage, too lazy to do it this weekend...

Check the mounts. Could also be a converter on the way out. Your converter is basically a big clutch.

Still think its motor mounts. My old mustang did that and it was the mounts. Check and see if your motor is leaning.

whats the best way to check motor mounts? pretty hard to see them.
I guess jacking up the cars front end would be the only way

See if your motor is leaning is the easiest way I believe.

Easy one

A dick brake is hanging up. It releases after you get moving.

I'm with ronnie. I think you have a caliper hanging up. Does the car pull to one side or the other when you first start to take off or slow down?

That will tell if front or rear sticking

If a front caliper is hanging it will pull one way or the other when you take off until it frees up. Just take off slow and no hands on the steering wheel.

If it is a rear caliper it will just go straight with our Mustang suspensions.

The problem may or may not correct by it's self after a while.

Its because you have a slight miss fire. My car also vibrated as if I had subwoofers lol ended up being a bad coil. spend 40 dollars and 2 minutes of your time and you should be good to go!.. even if the vibration is still there at least you will have fixed your #6 miss fire

My car had a grindy vibration feel at take off from a stop. The name for that feeling had been nicknamed "gritty" by the member Fully Automatic, who was also experiencing this problem. Turns out, we both had Dorman intakes. I just replaced mine and the feeling/sound is gone.

i think its $205 on amazon.... plus you could resell the dorman on ebay to recoup some of your expense.

Hi Straybullet

Rollo1987 say's this:
[QUOTEit only happens the first few seconds I take off. ][/QUOTE]

Apparently it only does it from a total stop taking off then does not do it anymore. I'm pretty certain he has a disc brake hanging up.
Ronnie
