Adjust Raxiom Smoked Projectors

I've got the "Eagle Eye" edition of the Raxiom smoked projector headlights, how far away from a garage door or wall do i need to be to adjust them properly? Right now, they point almost straight down, so I can't see worth a crap. But I also don't want to be "that guy" who blinds everyone with their HIDs.

There are also instructions and specifications for headlight adjustment in the owners manual.

Adjust Raxiom Smoked Projectors

How do I actually adjust them? Where are the screws? The ones that are on there don't do crap to actually move the beams one way or the other.

They make a wrench specifically for adjusting them that may make it easier

The stock headlights adjust with a Philips screwdriver. There is no side to side adjustment, only up and down.

The special wrench tool that was mentioned is only for foxes or 94-98 cars. The 99-04 lights adjust with a screwdriver or should, the OEM ones do.

Anyway, the procedure to adjust the height is simple. Measure how far from the ground the center of the projector is. At 25 feet away from a wall on a level surface, the cutoff should be 2 inches below that number. So at 25 feet if you are 24" off the ground the cutoff should be at 22" just as an example.

Hopefully the Raxioms provide a clean cutoff, if not, I would not run HIDs.

The very peak of the headlights (when adjusted all the way up) is still way too low to be able to see safely. I'm almost reduced to sticking something underneath the headlights to prop them up in order to see.

Honestly, from what I have seen in person... Raxiom stuff really looks low quality. Maybe I need to see more of it or see some of the Coyote stuff but the NE stuff looks like something a ricer would have on his civic, at least IMO. I've got aftermarket projectors on my 98 but they are DEPOs and its ashame DEPO does not make anything for the 99-04.

Honestly, the very best option for a 99-04 car is a set of brand new or refurbished OEM headlights retrofitted with a Morimoto HID projector kit. You can also try the stock housings with a really good Halogen like an Osram (not sylvania) Silverstar or a Philips Xtreme bulb.

The Retrofit Source Inc

You can also google HIDGUY to get them done so you don't have to. It's not cheap but its the best.

Hey guys im actually having the opposite problem. My headlights raxioms are aimed so high that they are actually higher than the stock high beams. My problem is that i have the headlights adjusted so far down that the screws in the back used to aim them are actually hitting the metal of the car behind the headlights. How can i pull the lights down more? Can i just cut the screws and if I do how much more screw is left? I need to pull the lights down about a foot atleast.
