I just got back from mustang week two weeks ago. I got 26.5 on the way over and 20.4 while I was there. Here in East Tennessee I get 19 most of the time running around town. I did install under drive pullys a couple months ago and it helped between 1 to 2 miles per gallon. Mine is a 4.6 automatic with 211,356 miles on it.

Since January of 2013, my average mpg is 22.66. GT, 5-Speed, 3.27.

I have gotten 27.0 on a long trip running 65-70+.

I have a cousin who drives a heavy Ford Crown Victoria with a 4.6l/automatic/2.73 who gets 30mpg on trips.

So, gearing and driving style are very important.

Have a great day!
