Help

So my car runs good and everything but this weekend i took it to the mountains and it struggle alot going through thos hills idk why??

Its an automatic, so it was strugglin like it needed more power to go up thos hills so i had to throw it on Over Drive

Not sure if these things have grade logic or not. Or whatever Ford calls it. Your first order of business if the car is doing this is to keep OD off going up hills. If the car doesn't have the capacity to realize its on a hill it'll stay in a too low gear and lug itself up the hills which is actually really bad to do in OD.

Engines lose power the higher in elevation that you go. This could be the cause of your power loss while driving in the mountains.
Do you know the approximate altitude of the area that you were driving in?

Going uphill also takes a lot more on the engine. And the 4.6 2v doesn't exactly have a lot of power. I drive mountain roads a lot and before I got my 4.10s she struggled with power.
