Is that the only solution though? I mean rebuild is the best solution

You're better off getting a junkyard 4.6 for about 800$ and then it's around 1-1.4k labor to put it in. You can get a junkyard motor with like 50-70k on it.

Why pay 1.4 to swap in a motor? Do it yourself. You can buy a hoist from harbor freight for cheap or you can rent one.

It's not that had. It just takes a lot of preparation. There are tons of guides out there , written and video. It's very doable nowadays.
