Raxiom headlights

Hey yall, another quick question..

I just bought a set of smoked raxiom HIDs from AM, and when i put them on, they looked all jacked up when they were turned on at night.

First picture is with the right headlight, second is the left

This picture is both together. Is there anyway i can adjust them to be even and not blinding anyone else?

I tried rotating the gear looking thing that moves them up and down, but i cant get them to line up together right.

How do i fix this?! Thanks! Click image for larger version

when I adjusted mine, I went behind a building that was closed really late at night and you pull rite up to the building on a level surface and then just turn those adjuster screws until they line up properly.

Good question! TurboCobra beat me to it but find a wall/build so you can really see how they're lined up. It's going to feel like you're turning the adjuster a couple hundred times (they move a little slowly!) If for any reason they're not moving do not hesitate to call us and we'll get a replacement shipped out for you immediately!

Park on a level surface 25 feet from a wall. Measure how high your headlight bulb is off the ground. Go to said wall, stick a piece of tape on it level at 2" lower than what your headlight bulb height is. So, example, if you are at 25" for your headlight bulb you should mark at 23". Get the headlights level and then slowly close the hood to make sure you don't have any hood to headlight contact when you close it.

Thanks everyone! Scotty, i realize you just repeated yourself by saying that in a previous thread so i appreciate the help specifically. Even since it gets annoying. Haha

I thought something broke on my left side light because it was taking a Minute trying to adjust it and it didnt seem like it was going anywhere until it was installed. Which is annoying..

Is the beam supposed to look like that though, a line thats elevated halfway through the light? It looks choppy.. Or maybe when i adjust them down it's just going to make the middle brighter..

Thanks again!

just looks like there layering. one is probably higher then the other.
like I said pull up close 2 building and line them up. once your up to that wall on a flat surface in a very dark area and you will notice rite away how different they are set up.

Is it a once piece head light system? If so are your from and rear wheels the same size? The one piece were designed to fit stock height. I know cuz I bought a set and I have staggered wheel sets, so aiming was a bugger. I eventually pulled them and went to a two piece projector headlight system.

Well i adjusted the lights how yall told to, 25 feet from the wall and 23 inches up (Headlights were 25 inches), and they're still a little off. I'm not sure if it's supposed to be like that, but i always thought that there should be a clean line in the wall/ground from the projector housings... Any ideas? Or tips? It's drivable and not too bad, but it's going to bug me if i can fix it and don't, vs not being able to at all. Thanks again guys!Click image for larger version

Just cause your wheel combo is staggered does not mean you are running different than that of stock height. And should have no bearing to adjusting ones headlights. I run staggered, 315/35/17 in back and 275/40/17 in front, and front and back tires are the same OD as stock. And if you are running a lowering spring then you would sit lower than stock height.

I still need help yall! One more thing to add, my left side high beam seems like it's pointing towards the ground. I see better with low beams than with high. I'll post a pic tonight to show you what i mean, but there's a white circle on the ground for my highs on the left side, and on the right, i barely see much of a difference with IT'S low beams. Confusing, i know, but just ask me to clarify if you don't get it. Thanks!

Aftermarket headlights generally do not put out quality lighting. Your cut-off line looks nice. Any "blinking" would be from a lower quality ballast I believe.
I think your doing better than most!

I don't want to ruin anyone's day but to be honest I haven't seen much good in what Raxiom manufactures. If you search the net there are lot's of complaints about their products.

I'm not judging anyone or any company, just sayin'.

I'm saving for the Raxiom halo headlights for my '13. Will I most likely have the same problems?

I have purchased Raxium, DEPO, Black Beauties (2 different manufactures), and the "Euro" black set.
**All cheap, all leak, all have rubber trim come off, poor light output. I take great care and time sealing them before installation, but rarely lasts 1 year+ before fogging up. Best output I have had is using Cobra style smoked headights with 4300K HID. Don't recommend HID's, they are illegal and blinding unless lens is smoked.

My DEPO projectors are awesome, no issues there and the wiring harness they came with was top notch. No leaks, no fogging, the 4300K HIDs in them are silly bright but there is no scatter at all. Granted, the beam does "rainbow" down at the ends and I am kicking around putting HIR halogens in the lo-beams in addition to the ones already in the hi-beams. A HIR 9011 or 9012 is 75% as bright as a 4300k HID and is a warm white light.

I also had DEPO replacements in my Contour SVT and they stayed fog free and clear for years DDing.

Best thing you can do for aftermarket lights is run a bead of clear silicone around the seams and let it sit for 24 hours before installing but I haven't had to do that with the DEPOs. I too have heard that the Raxiom stuff is very hit or miss but I have yet to buy one of their products for myself.

I love the look of my DEPO's on the Cobra, I sealed them, but they still fogged up. I like those projectors- Do they use 9011 bulbs for low beam? I want a set & want pure white color 4300K or 5000K depending on manufacturer. Some 5000k bulbs output blue.

They use 9005/9006 bulbs for a hi/low setup. But with the 9011/9012 all you have to do is clip a few pieces of plastic off the top lock tab and they fit in 9005/9006 slots and are SUPER bright. So if you were to use HIDs in the lo-beams you'd need a 9006 setup. I have HIDs in the lo beams and the 9011s in the hi-beams and when I have the hi-beams on in conjunction with the HIDs on a dark road it is ridiculous how much light output there is. I'm going to do a set of 9011/9012s in my Expedition soon as well since it takes 9005/9006 bulbs stock especially now that its getting darker sooner.

Candlepower sells them. I'll have to find the pic that shows where to clip the top tab on my home computer later on.

Yeah, that's what I thought, but remember I had a one piece. I swapped to a two piece and no issues. Just saying. I tried for ever, months to make it fit aesthetically (like factory) and it did not.

Sorry to OP for wondering off topic~
Was wondering if they could be heated up and separated, and a nice quality LED Strip could be placed inside and pull off a sharp looking set of projectors
