Got BOOST? I dont! Help!

My car isn't getting up to boost, still seems to drive okay I notice a slight loss in power but I am missing roughly 3.5 psi of boost.
I checked everything seems to be tight and I really don't know where to start trouble shooting if anyone knows what I should be doing please post

I was driving fairly quickly around some farm roads, beating on the car for about a half hour and then I stopped building full boost. Stopped for an hour at a friends place and still the car wont build the boost

I checked all the pipes and connectors and everything is as tight as possible, I don't see any damage but I also have no idea what I am looking at hah Bought not built*

It's either a leak in the system somewhere, a problem with the Blow Off Valve/wastegate, or, like my old turbo car, you toasted one of many turbochargers.

Did you check the intercooler for any damage or leaks?

I checked every connection and every clamp is as tight as possible, I don't have a tool to check for leaks tho, is this something an auto parts store will carry or should I just spend money and get a better BOV? I kind of want one that is louder to be honest. How do I test the actual turbo itself? **** I wana cry lol

if its not one car its the other and when there both doing fine I am to broke to drive from fixing one. Living the dream

Lol
I hear you! I'm spread a little thin myself... Living the Mustang dream.

A "low tech" way to check for leaks in the system is, find a tire inner tube (motorcycle) that you can cut on the opposite end of the fill valve, and then slip the two ends of the tube over the pipe from turbo to the intercooler and the pipe from the intercooler to the throttle body. Clamp the tube to two ends of the pipe so that the plumbing and intercooler are all sealed and then pump up the inner tube with about 10-15 psi of air and then spray everything with soapy water to see if any bubbles appear.

When the turbo spools up, does it make any abnormal noise?

found the leak, one of the gaskets is missing. Looks like they used some cheap gasket maker and it crumbled along the one side. This has to be why I just need 2 get a gasket but not sure how great it is that crap gasket maker got sucked in im sure

I'm glad that it was nothing serious.

There's a chance that gasket blew out rather than being ingested into your engine since the plumbing is under pressure (boost) at least part of the time.
