It has been done, but you need a fully built motor with nice heads, higher compression and good cams all put together to work with each other. Not cheap and not easy.

Got $10k to spend?

-5.0 stroker high compression forged shortblock
-TFS heads
-Max effort NA cams
-Kooks Longtubes
-Eddy Intake

That basic combo will yield 375-400rwhp on a 2V. Completely and TOTALLY not worth it when you can get better results with a supercharger on the stock motor and retain the stock street manners and gas mileage of a factory 2V.

If you are talking about with just bolt ons and cams, its an achievement to hit 300rwhp in that instance. Cammed 2Vs normally run in the 285-300rwhp range and do mid-low 12s at the 1/4 setup properly. There are some that break into the 11s but they are often NPI bottom end cars with a lot of weight reduction and a really good driver or an auto swap or both.

Yes so that's what I thought that I was better of supercharging it.. I might need to do a engine rebuild first before I get knot all of that my car had 164k lol ...so how much do u think I'll be making if I put in 4.10s pulleys off road x long tubes tb and plenum and a good tune? Sorry for the late reply

If you go with a supercharger I'd forget the 4.10s and go 3.55 or 3.73
