As for shifting yes, the stock times are done by professionals at the 1/4 track and the older autos were not as good as the newer ones. As for the average Joe driving who thinks he/she is a great stick shift driver. I guarantee the shift times are well off what a legit stick shift driver can accomplish and the consistency will not be there at all. Myself included, I can bang gears but nothing close to someone who has a ton of seat time. I'm happy enough just to be able to bark 2nd consistently now that I've got the new trans sorted out.
Lol yeah, I'm kind of a granny shifter myself. At least I'm not trashing the tranny though and it's fun. i'm not gonna lie though. I wouldn't mind at all having an auto Mach 1.

I would love love love an automatic Competition Orange Mach. There were only like 200 built and obviously it is a 2004 being a CO. That's another thing, anyone looking for an auto 99-04 Mustang, get an 04, don't even look at a 99-03. I think I mentioned that already. The 04 got the 4r75w and was the only year. I saw one with 50k on the clock sell for $7k last year. Was a rebuilt title car but lots of ppl vouched for it and it had a stack of receipts detailing the fixes and the frame being straight.

The lady who managed the local Advanced Auto Parts store had an orange Mach 1. Someone keyed the entire car.. She had to have it repainted and then I believe she sold it.
