Steeda UDP's on sale :) LMR

just placed my order for some Steeda Under drive Pulleys! There currently on sale on LMR for only $191

Other then needing the harmonic balancer puller, is there any way I can screw this install up lol, I notice the pulley has markings on it, is there a way to screw up the timing or is it just as simple as bolting the new one on?

The harmonic balancer will have a key way that will line you up. You will need a harmonic balancer puller to get it off. You can rent one from AutoZone or just buy one.

I just watched an install video of the Steeda UDP's and it says to put Black RTV on the key way slot or else the engine will leak oil. Is this actually necessary? Is this only with the steeda or does that go for an OE harmonic balancer as well?

No it is not Steeda specific, it is true for stock balancer's.

Just put a line of RTV on the line you'll see it when you get the crank pulley. Make sure when you use the larger bolt in the kit to seat the crank pulley to not go to far as the bolt is a lot larger then the stock one and can cause some issues if bolted in to far. Seat the crank pulley just enough that the stock bolt can catch some threads and bolt it in the rest of the way with the stock one. There is also a specific way to torque the crank pulley as well so check the instructions for that one. I believe it was torqued to 65 ft lbs then one full rotation counter clock wise to loosen then torqued to 36 ft lbs.
