I REALLY REALLY REALLY hope this fixes it. My drain is a little bit higher than his, but that could possibly be from the aftermarket radio, but my guess is it would still go down to the same draw during sleep mode.

Well. Didn't fix it. Not sure what else it could be. I tested the GEM itself and I'm pretty sure it's something in the GEM causing it. But cutting the wire didn't help.

On a side note I went to replace my pinion snubber because that's what I thought my axle was hitting. Looked under and turns out someone removed it once upon a time.

Also drove to the community college to take pics at the top of the garage, and also make some noise inside

Have you tried removing the radio fuses (#27 and/or #32) overnight? And then check the battery voltage in the morning?
You could do the same thing on every circuit that runs through the GEM, as well, if you suspect that is the cause of the problem
That will tell you for sure if the drain is on that circuit.

Didn't we take off the pinion snubber when we installed the TA?

No we took off the dog bone on the bottom of the axle and the upper control arms. I know for sure that we didn't take off the pinion snubber.

A few changes are going to be made, and then a piece added to get rid of the bubble behind the bumper, to streamline airflow even further. So this one isn't the final product. I didn't make it, I'm just the test dummy lol.

You need to keep us updated on when its done. Because with this sort of thing you never know how long it'll be available. Looks SHARP!

I'm assuming that is for the stock GT/V6 bumper and not the Cobra/Termi ones correct?

It will work with the GT/V6 bumper. Have not tested on a Cobra/Termi bumper yet. But the mounting points are the tabs where the bumper connects to the support, and then the exhaust tip hanger. This part should be around for a while once its being sold. But i'll keep you updated on availability and pricing.

White Rhino Fabrication makes a nice one for terminator bumpers. He was doing some test fitting on others.

Getting some serious mileage on her. That's only about half the life of your engine though with some maintenance, like a valve job, which I believe you said you need or were going to need. I Hope to get that many miles out of mine, their both at 76k currently, will take quite a while at 2-3k miles each a year on them though. This is very encouraging really. 4.6 2V may not be a HP or torque beast but they do run forever, lol. They did something right, plus you dont have to change your intake manifold every 100k, lol.

Yeah the engine may need valve work and other minor things, but i haven't been stranded before. I do not drive this car easy though lol.

Yeah Ive never been stranded yet either in mine. Close once when my caliper stuck and I didnt know exactly what was going on, then realized it. I didnt want to have molten brake pads on my wheels. But took it slow and stopped every 3 or so miles for a cool down, at least I was only about 15 miles from home. But thats been it for me so far, and of course its not a DD. Either way their good cars.

Not car related but gotta vent.

Saturday is my 21st birthday and me and my best friend have been planning to do something. We don't really know what, but we both knew we wouldn't remember the night..... Well he decides to go last minute with his "GF" to Oregon for a bridal shower she is going to and says he should be back by Saturday night.... OK. Well now he doesn't think he will be back, and money is all of a sudden tight (Yet i am the one that has to pay $3500 in taxes instead of getting money back). I already planned to drive back home from school, and then already made plans with parents to go out to dinner for my 21st. So now i basically have no plans other than that, and i can't stay at school and do something with other friends here because of the other dinner plans, which i won't break.

Lovely getting ****ed over on your 21st birthday.

lol, whenever i'm home in Sac i usually go with friends to a country line dancing bar on Friday nights. Its 18+ nights, but they serve alcohol to you if you are 21+. So i'll probably go and then i'll hit 21 in the middle of the night on the dance floor. Maybe i'll see Deadpool tomorrow and go to a car meet at night.

I've mostly come to terms with it. I'm not too mad about not being able to do something since i'll have plenty of opportunity to later. I still haven't done stuff that you have to be 18 for lol (strip clubs or lottery tickets). More mad that i basically got stood up by my best friend.

Probably keeping my vertical ID until summer when i can take another pic and get a new horizontal one... Until then i'll F with people when i have to be carded lol.

Women do that to best friends unfortunately. It happened to me one by one, and eventually I did the same thing to someone Im sure. It doesnt make it any less frustrating or even hurtful though. Im still friends with 3 of the closest ones but we rarely see each other, one I see once a month cause he is s barber and its free the other 2 I see maybe 2 times a year. Its hard to coordinate everything with everyones schedule anymore, kids, wives, etc. It is fun though when we do all get together and Im thankful for that. What really sucks are the friendships I made later on in life with my first wife, we basically divided them in the divorce too. She still gets mad that I took most of them with me on my side, lol. But that is what happens when youre the cheater not the one who was cheated on. Ok, now Im getting bitter and this took a horrible turn and Ive shared too much, haha.

Anyway Im sure you will find plenty to do, the country bar sounds like a good time, and country girls are hot!! Find one, drink a ton, and wake up somewhere and wonder how the hell you got there with no pants on. Then you can tell your buddy about the wild and crazy night you had and he missed out on it. And if it ends up being lame or boring then just make up a really good story!! And I would maybe give him a second chance to redeem himself, he sounds like he is wipped, its not his fault, somehow you get brain washed and dont even know how or why (we all know WHY though).

Hope you have a good weekend and HAPPY 21ST SOCCER!!

Ok so since i basically just want to do everything at the same time. I'm looking into a transmission rebuild from The 3650 Source. They can do a stock reman for $645 after core return. I may elect for the bronze pads, and see if they can put in the .62 overdrive instead. So waiting back on the quote.

This is the trans

The 3650 Source - 3650 Transmissions for any application

Aside from that, these are the parts i plan to get.....

OEM cable
MM Quadrant
Steeda Firewall Adjuster
Ford TOB

Now my question is do i need the extra pilot bearing, i know everyone goes with the Ford TOB instead of the one in the kit, but does the same go with the Pilot Bearing? Or can i save $10 on that?

I'm not 100% sure about the bearings. I think that I recall Scotty saying that the Ford Racing bearings are the same part # as the Motorcraft bearings now.

I don't think that it is wise to skimp on a relatively inexpensive part, that is difficult to access, and could potentially cause a failure of the clutch.
I recommend purchasing the best parts that you can afford.

Ok, i'll have to find the other then.

But got a quote for a trans from Zak at The 3650 Source. This quote includes the .62 overdrive since i want to upgrade to that instead of the .68 i have currently. Only $75 for that, which is worth it. Then with a discount he is offering, it basically makes the bronze pads free, which is normally $75 also. So i'm definitely going to do that.... All in all, $750ish after i send my stock one back for the core refund. Now its all a matter of if i can get all the parts before spring break, or if i have to wait until summer.

Zak is the man. He really is.

Only thing I would mention on the .62 overdrive is that there is a BIG falloff between 4th and 5th. For backroads driving you may find you are lugging it at 45-50mph in 5th or spinning at 2500 in 4th. I forget what gears out back you have tho...

I'd do the .62 again in a heartbeat tho. Great for the highway.

I'd also save some money and get an Exedy Mach 400 clutch. IIRC the FRPP stuff is now the same part number as Motorcraft but not 100% sure and you might be able to get NOS stuff from a dealer anyway. I'd get the TOB/Pilot from a dealership and that is what I am doing with the silver car.

The MM quadrant is effing great. And if you can find a Fiore microclick firewall adjuster that is easily the best one.

Also do not forget a new flywheel.

Also try to find someone with lift access. Seriously. It'll cut the time doing it in half. Takes me 3-4 hours start to finish to do a trans in a 96-04 car. Way faster for a T-5 in a 95 down...
